
Telangana congress MLAs, MPs and MLCs have come forward to submit their resignations to put pressure on the Centre and on congress leadership for achieving Telangana state, according to sources.
The congress MPs, MLAs and MLCs of the T region today held a meeting at Nizam club in Hyderabad and discussed the developments following the disclosure of the Sri Krishna committee report. It is said that 23 MLAs, Ministers Jana reddy, Basavaraju Saraiah and Jupalli Krishna rao and 7 MPs have attended the meeting and expressed their readiness to tender resignations for achieving Telangana.
Minister Jupalli Krishna rao reportedly went a step further and said he would resign his post if the Bill for formation of Telangana is not introduced in Parliament on the first day of its budget session.
The people’s representatives are demanding that Telangana should be granted irrespective of the committees and reports and said they are ready to put pressure on the party into accepting the demand of separate state. The MLAs have expressed anger over those MLAs and MPs who have not attended the meeting.
