Ms. Kanimozhi, DMK MP and an accused in the 2G spectrum scam, broke down emotionally on Monday evening when her half-brother and DMK leader Mr Stalin visited her in the Tihar Jail in Delhi.

 

Mr Stalin, accompanied by DMK parliamentary party leader TR Baalu and party MP AKS Vijayan, made a visit to the jail around 4 pm and met Kanimozhi in jail No.6. Jail staff said that when she came to the office of the jail superintendent where Stalin was waiting, she became emotional and wept uncontrollably.

 

In the half an hour he met his sister, Stalin had to spend most of the time for consoling her and then both of them spoke in Tamil for some time.

 

After visiting his sister, Stalin met the other accused in the 2G spectrum scam Mr A. Raja and the Kalaignar TV MD Mr Sharad Kumar who were lodged in different rooms and spent 30 minutes with each of them separately.

 

Stalin had last met his sister on May 24 at the Special CBI court four days after she was arrested in connection with the 2G scam.
