Taking a serious note of the missing complaint lodged against him by the TDP rebel MLAs Mr Nagam Janardhan Reddy and Hariswara Reddy, Speaker Nadendla Manohar today issued privilege notices to both of them.

Observing that their action in lodging a missing complaint against him is nothing but showing disrespect towards the Chair, Manohar asked them to explain their conduct within a week.

It might be mentioned that both Janardhan Reddy and Harishwar Reddy lodged a complaint to the police that the Speaker went missing from his office. They requested the police to trace him back so that he would be able to accept the mass resignations.

Reacting to the notices, Nagam said that they would not be cowed down with such notices. “Are they going to hang us? Is he not the Speaker for Telangana? We lodged a complaint in a fit of fury as he had left for foreign countries without accepting our resignations,” said Nagam.

He said he would put pressure on the Speaker and ensure that their resignations are accepted.
