11 persons, all of them Bhavani devotees, were seriously injured in a road accident at Chodimella in Eluru Mandalam of West Godavari district this morning.

Reports said that a Tata Ace vehicle, carrying the Bhavani devotees from Srikakulam to Vijayawada Kanaka Durga temple, lost control and hit a road side tree while negotiating a curve.

All the injured were admitted to the Eluru hospitals and the condition of two of the injured was stated to be serious. (JUBS)
