Home Minister Chidambaram made it clear today that the Centre would convene a meeting of AP political parties on the issue of Telangana only when it gets the views of all parties from the state.
Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of a programme in Delhi today, Chidambaram said the APCC, TDP, YSR Congress party and the MIM have not yet expressed their opinion on the issue of Telangana.
“At least they should announce they are ready to announce their final word to enable me to conduct a meeting on the issue,” Chidambaram said when asked about the proposed meeting of AP political parties on Telangana.
It might be mentioned that Chidambaram has repeatedly said in the past that a decision on Telangana would follow only when all the parties have expressed their opinion on the issue. (JUBS)
