In a tragic incident, Additional Superintendent of Police of Paderu Shashi Kumar died under mysterious circumstances at his official residence in Visakhapatnam.

According to the officials, security men heard gunshots from his room.They rushed to find SP in a pool of blood with injuries to his head.

Security men immediately shifted him to a local hospital but doctors declared him brought dead.

A senior official said that they are investigating if the gun went off accidentally or did the officer commit suicide. A native of Tamil Nadu, Shashi Kumar was posted at Paderu about six months ago.

Police have sealed the house and are probing all the possibilities of the officer’s death. They have also informed his family. The body was sent for post moterm.
