India ready for Vaccine Roll Out from January 13th:- The Union Health Ministry today issued an official statement that the vaccines for coronavirus will roll out from January 13th, ten days from granting the emergency use approval which is based on the feedback of the dry-run which is happening currently. The announcement came from the Union Health Ministry after a day after the Drugs Controller General of India (DGCI) approved Covishield (developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca) along with Covaxin (developed by Serum Institute of India and Bharat Biotech) for emergency use.

Rajesh Bhushan, the Secretary of the Health Ministry met the press to announce the big news after collecting the feedback from the dry-run. The government also said that it is ready to introduce the coronavirus vaccine in ten days. The CoWIN Delivery Management plan is put forward and there are four primary vaccine stores in the country in Karnal, Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai. There are 37 vaccine stores in the country. The Indian government approved two vaccines paving way for a massive inoculation drive. As per the update, the vaccine rollout starts from January 13th and the first priority will be given to healthcare workers and officials.
