KCR Has A Special Request For Telangana Ministers:- Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday asked his Cabinet ministers to stay in their respective districts for the next two days with the announcement of heavy rains for the state. The Cabinet meeting that has been planned to take place today has been called off. KCR wanted the ministers to overlook the relief operations if required after heavy downpour in their districts. Chief Secretary SK Joshi has been asked to ensure the officials to be available and attend the emergency.
Telangana state witnessed heavy rainfall on Sunday and several rivers, streams witnessed heavy inflows. Coal production suffered along the Singareni Coal Belt area after rainwater entered the coal mines. Mining operations have been suspended. Tribals suffered after losing road connectivity across some regions. IMD revealed that the state would witness heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next three days.
