Odisha Extends Lockdown Till April 30th:- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced lockdown for three weeks and it is expected to complete by April 14th. The discussion about the extension of lockdown is on and 90% of the states expressed to extend the lockdown till the end of this month. Odisha is the first state to extend the lockdown officially till April 30th. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that he decided to extend the lockdown till April 30th in a video statement. He said that the people of Odisha have been quite disciplined and this provided great strength for the government.
Odisha recorded 42 cases of coronavirus as per the records of the Health officials. Naveen Patnaik met the cabinet of Odisha after which he announced the extension of lockdown. He also said that they would recommend the Centre to extend the lockdown across the country. He also said that the government of Odisha has been taking enough care of the people who are stranded in other states and other parts of the country. At the same time, the people who hail from other states residing in Odisha too are taken enough care of said Naveen Patnaik.
He also said that they are in plans to conduct rapid tests soon. The transportation of goods is happening without any disruption confirmed by Naveen Patnaik.
