Centre About The New Guidelines After April 20th:- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the lockdown in the country is extended till May 3rd. After a strict lockdown till April 20th, he said that the Centre would issue new guidelines to be followed till May 3rd. Considering the farmers and daily wage workers, the Centre planned to give relief in some of the regions where the impact of coronavirus is low. All the public transport facilities by air, road and rail are banned till the completion of the lockdown. The commercial activities, schools, educational institutions, theatres, shopping malls. political events, hospitality services, religious gatherings and other events are banned.
The agricultural related activities will be completely functional from today. Selected industrial activities are allowed to resume and they are asked to follow the strict guidelines. The coming days are quite critical for agricultural sector because of which the Centre removed the restriction on them. All the goods traffic will be allowed to travel. Parcel trains, cargo flights and cargo ships are allowed. All the shops for truck repairs and highway dhabas can be opened.
Contract labour for the operation of railways and airports are permitted. All the farmers are allowed to perform their operations. Shops of agriculture machinery and repairs will remain open. The distribution and manufacturing of fertilizers and pesticides can be opened. Operations of the fishing and aquaculture industry is allowed. With 50% workers, the operation of tea, coffee and rubber plantation works are allowed. Print and electronic media employees are allowed. IT-enabled services with 50% of the strength are allowed. Limited services of e-commerce industries are allowed.
Some of the self-employed services like electrician, IT, plumbers and other mechanics are allowed.
