Coronavirus Scare Reaches Tirumala Temple:- The coronavirus scare is making everyone sleepless. The infections reached to the next level across the country and the spread is huge. The Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirumala is open for visitors recently after the temple was shut for over 90 days. The devotees and public rushed to the temple soon after the temple's premises are opened for public visit. All the social distancing guidelines are strictly followed and the TTD has been allowing a limited number of devotees on a regular basis. As per the news, ten people from TTD are infected with the coronavirus.
One among the ten infected is a priest who works in the temple along with nine other officials are tested positive with coronavirus. The officials rushed to the temple and sanitized the entire temple surroundings today. Five of them are security officials among the tested. All those who are tested positive are sent to a hospital in Tirupati. Coronavirus tests are conducted to the family members of these officials. All those who came in touch with these infected officials are traced and TTD is in plans to conduct coronavirus tests for them.
All the devotees coming to Tirumala temple are screened at Alipiri and all the people who are unwell are not allowed to reach Tirumala premises. With several staff of TTD tested positive, the devotees and visitors are left in panic situation.
