Andhra Pradesh lockdown extended till May 31st:- Andhra Pradesh is one among the most impacted states in the country due to the second wave of coronavirus pandemic. The daily tally of cases crossed 20,000 mark and the situations are alarming. A new variant of coronavirus is spotted in Andhra Pradesh which is now spread across the neighboring states. The government of Andhra Pradesh imposed a lockdown for ten days which is coming to an end by tomorrow. The government of Andhra Pradesh now announced the extension of lockdown till the end of this month. All the basic essentials will be available between 6 AM and 12 noon. The state would head for a lockdown for the rest of the day. The state borders too are closed during the lockdown time of the day.

The state reported 18,561 new cases in the last 24 hours out of the 73,749 new tests conducted in the state. The total number of coronavirus cases reported in the state reached 14,51,157 and there are 12,30,122 recoveries in the state. With 109 new deaths, the total death tally in Andhra Pradesh reached 9481. There are 2,11,554 active cases for coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh in total and 17,334 people recovered from coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The total number of samples tested for coronavirus in total in AP are said to be 1,80,49,054. Anantapur, East Godavari, Chittoor, Guntur, Srikakulam, Visakhapatman districts continued to report high number of coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh.
