Indian daily Coronavirus tally expected to touch 7.2 lakhs per day:- The third wave of coronavirus reached the country and huge number of cases are reported on a regular basis. A total number of 2,82,970 new cases of Covid-19 are reported in the nation in the last 24 hours and the spread is huge. The only relief is that the rate of hospitalization is low when compared to the previous waves in the country. Several health experts warned that the country will record 7.2 lakh cases per day in the coming days and wave of the cases will reach the peaks by January 23rd. IIT-Kanpur scientist Manindra Agrawal, one of the researchers of the Sutra consortium told "Trajectory with data up to 11th indicates the peak on 23th Jan with nearly 7.2 lakh cases per day. Actual trajectory is already deviating significantly, and actual peak is unlikely to cross 4 lakh cases per day".
The situation is changing in the country because of the spread of Omicron variant and the infected people are following the remedies instead of getting tested and staying in home isolation. The guidelines that are issued by the Centre and the state governments are ignored and not implemented. The other reason is that the symptoms due to Omicron are mild and the people are not in a mood to get tested or stay isolated. But the spread is huge and the cases are increasing at a rapid pace. Mumbai reached it peaks on January 12th and the trend is downward. The cases reached the peaks in Delhi on January 16th and in Kolkata it was on January 13th. In Bihar, the cases reached the peaks on January 17th. The trend is now going down in these states
The wave will reach the peaks in Bengaluru on January 22nd and in the states of Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, the cases would reach the peaks on January 19th and in Assam it would reach the peaks on January 26th.
