Six Indian states among the 'States of Concern':- The Union Health Ministry today listed six Indian states as the 'States of Concern' after the cases of coronavirus are rising in the country. Rajesh Bhushan, Health Secretary addressed the media about the Covid-19 situation in the country. Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh are the states of concern. Rajesh Bhushan said that the Health Ministry has been closely and regularly reviewing the situation in these states. Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal, UP, Gujarat, Odisha, Delhi and Rajasthan are the states with high number of cases.
"Asia is having a huge surge in the new cases of coronavirus and their contribution is ranging between 7.9 percent to 18.4 percent as pet the reports in the last four weeks. The states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal, UP, Gujarat, Odisha, Delhi and Rajasthan are having high number of cases. The new number of cases have been rising in the country on a fast pace. 52 percent of the people aged between 15-18 are vaccinated in the country. The death rate is quite low thanks to the vaccination drive in the country. We will expand the coverage of vaccination" told Rajesh Bhushan.
