KCR to Warn 35 TRS MLAs for Under-Performing:- Telangana Chief Minister and TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) kept a close watch on his legislators as the state will head for elections soon. Top political strategist Prashant Kishor is working with KCR and a recent survey said that 35 MLAs from TRS are under performing. The survey has been conducted since December 2021 and it concluded recently. The reports reached KCR and the Chief is all set to meet all the MLAs soon. KCR will initiate talks with these legislators and he would warn them about their under-performance. If they continue to be the same, KCR is keen to replace them in the 2023 Assembly polls in the state. KCR is said to have given six months time but there is no change in their performance.
KCR will also discuss about these survey reports in the state executive meeting that will take place soon. He will issue a strong warning for these legislators to improve their performance. TRS signed a deal with i-PAC in April and the agency has been conducting periodic surveys since then. Special surveys are conducted by three independent agencies from December last year in 16 constituencies of the state which are not represented by TRS. KCR got reports from 70 constituencies and the reports for 49 other constituencies are pending for now. They are expected to reach KCR in a week. The party leadership is working on alternative leaders in each constituency. The elections in Telangana are expected to be held during the second half of 2023.
