Revanth Reddy meets Narendra Modi for TS Demands:- Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka recently met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, where they discussed a range of issues and presented a list of demands. The meeting, which lasted for half an hour, marked the first official meeting between Revanth Reddy and the Prime Minister, as well as the first meeting between a Telangana Chief Minister and Modi in over two years.

During the meeting, Revanth Reddy and Bhatti highlighted the financial crisis and large debt burden faced by Telangana. They attributed this to alleged financial mismanagement by the previous government and urged Prime Minister Modi to assist the state in rectifying its financial situation. They also submitted a White Paper on the state's finances, which detailed how the debt burden of Telangana had increased significantly over the years.

Bhatti emphasized that the previous government had failed to secure the promises and rights of Telangana, as outlined in the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014. He stated that they requested Modi to expedite the implementation of these pending promises. Bhatti further alleged that the previous government had pushed Telangana into a debt trap by taking substantial loans.

In response to their requests, Bhatti reported that the Prime Minister responded positively and assured them that the issues would be resolved promptly. This positive response provides hope for Telangana and its efforts to address its financial challenges.

It is noteworthy that this press conference, where Bhatti briefed the media in Delhi about the meeting, marked a departure from the past practice of Telangana Chief Ministers refraining from addressing the media during visits to Delhi.
