Revanth Reddy signs agreement with WEF in Davos:- In February 2024, Hyderabad will be the home of the World Economic Forum-Telangana Centre, a part of the global Fourth Industrial Revolution network (WEF-C41R) that spans across four continents. The WEF-Telangana Centre will be a collaborative effort between the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the Telangana government, aiming to become the world's first center dedicated to health tech and life sciences.

The agreement to establish this center was signed during a meeting between Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and WEF President Borge Brende on January 16th at Davos, during the annual WEF conference. The official launch of the center will take place during BioAsia 2024.

According to the Telangana government, this center represents a significant milestone in the state's expertise in health tech and life sciences. Chief Minister Revanth expressed that this initiative perfectly aligns with the broader vision of the Telangana government and the goals of the World Economic Forum, which emphasize collaboration to enhance people's lives and improve their quality of living standards.

Furthermore, CM Revanth emphasized that this initiative will bring world-class healthcare services to individuals residing in villages and small towns.

Telangana's healthcare technology hub is expanding its reach to rural areas, aiming to be the first of its kind in the world. This hub will create job opportunities in the healthcare industry and encourage collaboration between the government and small to medium-sized businesses. The World Economic Forum (WEF) selected Hyderabad as the location for this hub during their annual conference in Davos. Through a collaboration agreement between the Telangana government and the WEF, this autonomous and non-profit organization will lead in healthcare and life sciences policy and governance. By joining the WEF's Fourth Industrial Revolution Network, Telangana's C4IR becomes the 18th center, solidifying its global leadership position and strengthening its connection to the global network of 4IR centers.
