Late Paritala Ravi's son Sriram was arrested by the Ananthapur Police in relation to the TDP and YSRCP supporters clash. At Kanaganapalli election campaign, TDP and YSRCP workers clashed and eventually the law and order got disturbed. The police had detained Sriram for leading the TDP camp.
