Centre asks report on TV9, ABN ban

The Central government has asked the Telangana government to send its explanation in a report for banning news channels TV9 and ABN AndhraJyothy in Telangana state. Union I & B minister Prakash Javdekar asked Telangana cheif secretary Rajeev Sharma to probe and send a detailed report. Both TV9 and ABN took the issue to the notice of Centre and requested to lift the ban.
