The Oil Ministry may increase the prices of cooking gas [LPG] and kerosene by Rs 250 per cylinder and Rs 4 per litre respectively. The Ministry is preparing a draft note for the consideration of the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs [CCPA] on pricing of Deisel, Kerosene and LPG. However the Central government is yet to take a decision on this. If the prices are not increased, the state owned oil firms with meet with Rs 1,07,850 crores of revenue loss.
