Prime Minister Narendra Modi's hands are going to be full for this Rakshabandhan festival as widows of Varanasi will send around 1,000 rakhis to their “new brother.” According to an NGO Sulabh International, hundreds of old widows are making rakhis to send to PM Modi as he represents the constituency and also became the Prime Minister.
In places like Varanasi, hundreds of widows who are in their 80s, mostly lead an isolated life without the support of family, praying to God and looking for food. The NGO takes care of around 1500 widows. Also a Nepali group women is planning to send rakhis to PM Modi.
