Former Formula One champion Michael Schumacher has left Swiss hospital and will continue his treatment at home after a freaky ski accident in December 2013. Schumaer emerged from the coma in June and was transferred from a French hospital to the University Hospital of Lausanne (CHUV) in Switzerland.
The seven-time world champion underwent two operations to remove life-threatening blood clots. The spokesperson of Schumacher's family has confirmed that he was shifted from hospital to home and will continue to scrutinized by high level neurology experts. On December 29, 2013, the 45-year-old slammed his head on a rock while skiing with his son and friends at Meribel in the French Alps.
