The Election Commission has announced the election schedule for Jharkhand and Jammu & Kashmir states shortly. Jharkhand and J&K will go to polls in five phases - Nov 25 [Phase 1], Dec 2 [Phase 2], Dec 9 [Phase 3], Dec 14 [Phase 4] and Dec 20 [Phase 5]. The counting will be held in both states on December 23rd.

Also the by-polls for three Delhi constituencies will be held on November 25 along with the phase 1. There are about 10,015 polling stations in J&K and 24,648 in Jharkhand. 87 seats will go to polling in Jammu & Kashmir and 81 seats in Jharkhand.
