Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been awarded Yash Chopra Memorial Award for the year 2014. This award is instituted by Rajya Sabha MP T Subbirami Reddy's TSR Foundation and Big B is the second personality to get Yash Chopra award after singer Latha Mangeshkar was awarded the first. In fact, the senior Bachchan is the only hero with whom Yash Chopra worked more.
Deewar, Kabhi Kabhie, Trishul, Kaala Patthar, Silsila, Mohabatein to Veer Zaara and Bunty Aur Babli were the films in Big B and Yash's combination. Delighted by the award, the Shamitabh actor said, “Yash Chopra is not just a great filmmaker he is like a elder brother to me. We share an emotional bond with each other.”
The award carries a prize money of Rs 10 lakhs, a golden bracelet and a momento.
