Telangana Chief Minister KCR is trying to get the entire central service taxes amount to the Telangana state, even though AP also has a considerable share in it.
Generally, when the Centre levies the taxes, on the various services provided, a good share, would even be distributed, to the concerned state governments, from the collected amount.
So currently, as per the estimates, more than 7 thousand crores of amount, is awaiting to be distributed to the Telugu states.
The arrears in the amount is of the past seven years. So, there would obviously be a considerable share for Andhra Pradesh too, as the Telugu states were united at that time.
But KCR seems reluctant to give the share in the amount to AP and regarding this, he is conducting internal affairs with the Centre officials.
Naidu conflict with KCR for tax benefits?
On the other side, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is finding tough for the funds to the AP capital Amaravati construction. At this time, the share in the tax amount, would help the AP state to some extent. But as of now, Naidu took no active steps about the tax amount.
On the occasion of Amaravati stone ceremony, the dual Telugu states Chief Ministers, have joined the hands and assured each other’s support for the development of Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu and KCR meet, has acquired a huge significance among the political circles, as the differences arose in the cash for vote and phone conversation tapes, got cleared.
Currently, Telangana government’s support is needed for Naidu and for this he is trying to maintain cordial relations with him. So at this time, if Naidu fights with KCR, for the tax amount, the situation might again turn worse between the duo. So it seems Naidu might not force KCR in the tax issue.
So it should be seen, whether KCR, himself realizes the situation of AP and offers the tax share or the Centre decides to give the share in the tax amount, to the dual Telugu states.
