Amabati Rayudu to join Janasena?:- Ambati Rayudu, a former cricketer for Team India, had a meeting with Pawan Kalyan, an actor-politician, on Wednesday, just four days after resigning from the YSR Congress Party. The meeting took place at the Jana Sena Party office in Mangalagiri, Guntur district. There have been speculations that Rayudu might join the Jana Sena Party. The meeting lasted for over an hour. Rayudu announced his resignation from the ruling party on January 6, just ten days after entering politics. He mentioned that he would take a break from politics for some time. Rayudu later posted on 'X' that he will be representing Mumbai Indians in the upcoming ILT20 in Dubai, starting from January 20, and that he will remain politically unaffiliated while playing professional sports.

Rayudu joined the ruling party of Andhra Pradesh, YSRCP, on December 28, and was welcomed by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the President and Chief Minister of YSRCP. In April of this year, Rayudu expressed his desire to enter politics and serve the people. There were rumors in political circles that the cricketer, who is originally from Andhra Pradesh, might contest in the upcoming Andhra Pradesh Assembly or Lok Sabha elections, scheduled for April-May.
The TDP has been previously stated as JSP's ally for the upcoming elections. Rayudu has represented India in 55 ODIs and six T20 matches from 2014 to 2019, accumulating 1,694 runs, which included three centuries and 10 fifties. Following CSK's victory in the 2023 IPL, Rayudu retired from the tournament in May of that year.
