Prawn Almond Toast can make a healthy snack and here is the recipe for the snack:
Ingredients:
almond flakes ½ cup
cleaned prawns 1 cup
chopped garlic 2 tsp
egg white 1
potato starch 1 tsp
chopped spring onion ¼ cup
soy sauce 2 tsp
white sesame seeds ½ cup
pepper powder 1 tsp
salt to taste
white bread slices 4-6 slices
butter for basting
Preparation:
Combine the sesame seeds and almond flakes. Usse a kitchen paper or towel to extract the excess water from the prawns. Mix the prawns, egg white, chopped spring onion, garlic, pepper powder, soya sauce, salt and potato starch in a bowl. Blend till it turns into a fine paste. Cut down the edges of the bread and cut each slice into four triangles. Spread the past on the slices and press down.
Mix the sesame seeds and almond flakes in the shallow dish. Coat the stuff and mix the toast prawn side down. Keep it in an oven at 160 degrees and place the toast over the wire rack. Cook it till it turns into golden brown in colour. Baste the toast with butter and flip it.
Prawns are rich source of iron and it helps to boost the production of red blood cells. They are packed with Vitamin A, E, B6 and B12.
