Gambling on Facebook has always been popular while millions of people played and won with no rewards but their own sense of satisfaction. The story now changes with the new Facebook app that allows real gambling with real money.

Bingo Friendzy is the first ever app to introduce real money in gambling on Facebook. This was a brainchild of the British online gambling company Gamesys and it has made Facebook its newest platform on Tuesday. Players can stake cash in games like slot machines and 90 bingo.

The cartoonish logo of the game has a strong semblance to the Moshi Monsters characters, a social networking for the children.

However, a few Christian groups have not taken the issue so well who had also protested against it asking the Advertising Standards Authority to act against it.

Toby Scott, the director of communications for the Methodist Church has voiced that gambling was a game restricted to adults and the introduction of the game online on a social networking site would only lure them into the hazards of gambling. Mother's Union, a Christian charity has seconded his claims.

The logo is also designed in a way to attract kids more than anyone else they said.

Facebook said Bingo Friendzy players would be subject to "strict account acceptance controls verifying their identity, and that they are over 18 and located in the UK".
