Chandrayaan 3 found evidence of oxygen on the moon:- According to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), the Pragyan rover has found traces of Sulphur, Iron, Aluminium etc on the surface of the moon. Rover also detected traces of Oxygen and now it is in search of Hydrogen.
The Laser Induced Spectroscope (LIBS) instrument, which is on board of Rover, confirms the presence of minerals as expected in the South Pole. Al, Ca, Fe, Cr, Mn, Si and O are detected. Search for H is underway.

ISRO released an official statement through X app by writing, “Chandrayaan-3 Mission: In-situ scientific experiments continue ..... Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscope (LIBS) instrument onboard the Rover unambiguously confirms the presence of Sulphur (S) in the lunar surface near the south pole, through first-ever in-situ measurements. Al, Ca, Fe, Cr, Ti, Mn, Si, and O are also detected, as expected. Search for Hydrogen (H) is underway. The LIBS instrument is developed at the Laboratory for Electro-Optics Systems (LEOS)/ISRO, Bengaluru.”
ISRO is providing all the updates through social media without a miss. Chandrayaan 3 mission is a super successful mission of India, which was made with the cost of Rs 627Cr. With this boost, ISRO is all set to launch Aditya L1, a Sun mission in search of secrets on the Sun on the 2nd of September.
