Apple's new revelations have always been extremely popular with simple yet elegant promotional invites for the press. The subtle messages hidden in the invitations are ingenious.
The latest invite had the text “Its almost here” over the number 12 which cast a shadow in the shape of the number 5. Which indicated the Apple iPhone 5 launch on the 12th of September.
Earlier invitation for the sharper iPad had included the sharper icons on the iPad than ever insinuating the higher resolution of the screen.
But as always the invitations reveal only a little and this marketing strategy confounds the customers after the release as they are presented with more than a handful. This time is no different. Apple is all set to release the gamut of products running on the 6th generation of the iOS. While iPhone 5 is completely new '5' other products would be revamped to the latest generation.
Expected to blow you away at the launch are
An iPhone 5: Highly rumored to sport a big screen of 4 inches, with retina display like the predecessor, metal body, new connector, 4G LTE capable, and preloaded with iOS 6. Is the phone a bang for the money is something we have to wait and see after the revelation of all the features
iPod Touch 5th generation: Apple gave this gadget a miss last year while it had refreshed the features of other gadgets. The iTouch which is almost an iPhone without the calling facility and slimmer is expected to receive the same updates as the phone with a bigger screen and a better camera, new smaller connector. There are rumors that a new 3G capable iTouch would also be released.
iPad Mini: Much awaited entry of Apple to the smaller 7 inch form factor of the Tablets to beat the Android tablets which have completely won the whole segment is the iPad Mini. Another strong competitor is the latest 8.9 inch Kindle Fire HD. The iPad mini is expected to have a 7 or 8-inch retina display, dual cameras, new connector port and Siri support.
If priced around the $200 mark, you can take my word, it would be a holocaust for the Android tablets.
iPod Nano: Nano would also get a slightly bigger display with more colors and would support the much needed Wi-Fi and Airplay support.
iPod Shuffle: would be the least changed product with the change being only the new smaller port probably. Rumors of more colors have always been on the air. We may also expect a higher storage and a small display for convenient use but there have been no hints on Apple's side.
