Apple sued for clock design

A national rail company of Switzerland had accused Apple for stealing the iconic clocks of its train stations as it was used in the iOS6 operating system which is now widely being used in most of the devices like iPhones, and iPads. The latest iPhone 5 has shipped with the latest iOS.
The striking similarities between the designs of the clocks is uncanny and hardly looks a coincidence. A round clock face with black indicators, minutes hand and hours hand are exactly the same. What rises the suspicion is that the clock also uses the same red seconds hand.

A spokesman from SBB mentioned that the rail company is proud to have its design chosen by the Cupertino giant to be copied. The design in the Switzerland railways is 68 years old.
However the situation has been complicated after Reto Kormann, the spokesperson, has mentioned that Apple had not sought any kind of permission from the company to use the designs. He added that they would make amicable agreements and see that the compensation is paid.
Apple representatives in Germany however stayed mum parrying the questions on SBB's claims.

Apple is infamous to have launched numerous claims against other tech giants like Samsung for using its designs and patents. Most designs of Apple are in fact copied from old generation gadgets and a few even from cartoons like Simpsons but the Cupertino tech giant had never been sued for its illegal infringement.
