Pilotless remotely controlled planes on the anvil?

'Hello this is your captain greeting all the passengers on board' probably this statement will be heard from well stimulated voices of the pilots who have their feet on grounds, while you are flying in air. A cockpit with out a pilot is on the anvil which shall be a major step in the commercial aviation industry.

Unmanned drones have already taken a permanent place in the defence and meteorological departments and now they are ready to take over your flight too, claim reports. May be the next couple of weeks might witness the wonders in aviation. As per schedule a twin-engine Jetstream flight will take off from Warton hanger in Lancashire to land in Scotland.

The English endevour is to pull the pilots out of the cockpits and put them to monitor with out the need to actually fly. The proposal which has been opted by the American Congress could pave way for a pilotless flight latest by 2015.

This proposed trial is organised by the Autonomous Systems Technology Related Airborne Evaluation and Assessment (ASTRAEA) backed by the British government. The nearly 100 million dollar proposal involves seven European aerospace companies: AOS, BAE Systems, Cassidian, Cobham, QinetiQ, Rolls-Royce and Thales.

The success of this English experiment inaugurate the road to the day where there would be no flying pilots. After the success of the test flight the pilotless machines would be used on short assignements like border patrols, traffic monitoring, surf patrols and police surveillance.

Subsequent to success in such disaster less endeavours they would be upgarded to take an active part in the commercial segment too, claims the report. (AarKay)
