Winning India 4-0, regaining top slot before ashes is Oz dream

Team India debacle seems to be inevitable in Australia. Having lost 3 matches in a row, has earned many criticism from the experts.
Personally, I do not want to add one more criticism to their credit in my columns, but am really astonished at the way the team had been admonished even by home crowds at the international stadia. Most of the seniors failed to fire at the needed hour, with due exclusion to the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar. In spite of severe criticism the other seniors seem to be well stuck and continue to be a burden on the ailing team. If not retirement, the Board of Cricket Control, which controls the coffers of the game, must step in and at least give them rest, is my humble feeling.
The other day at the oval when some reporters questioned the senior VVS Laxman of his retirement, he seems to have retorted and said he had no immediate idea to retire. "When approached by an Indian journalist after the session, the 37-year-old insisted reports of his impending retirement were untrue," the Australian media reported.
Indian coach Duncan Fletcher also seems to have invited the wrath of the critics. His failure to pull in the players to mark a victory had been met with sharp criticism by the hosts. In a bizarre incident four Indian fans were thrown out of the Western Australia Cricket Association grounds when they abused the Indian players for their bad performance. The players were having their net practice when the incident occurred. The fans were reported to be in inebriated condition.
However the last nail in the coffin for Team India would be the statement made by the Australian batsman David Warner. `Our goal is to become No.1 again by the next Ashes in 2013. If we can keep working towards that, our goals will be achieved. At the end of the day we want to try and beat the second team in the world four-nil. That's a massive thing for us at the moment,’ he is quoted by Australian media. (AarKay)
