East or West IPL is the best say most players, but getting the comment from our (un)friendly neighbor adds glamor to the whole issue. IPL or Indian Premier League is the brain child of mr Lalit Modi, which brought global players to Indian teams. It is an annual carnival since 2008. in the first edition many Pakistani players did participate in the game. But later after the Mumbai blasts Pakistan players were less sought by Indian IPL franchiser due to diplomatic issues.
The 32 year all rounder in his own words describes IPL as the best. He chirps in 'although I played just once in the IPL but it is easily the biggest league you can play in and I enjoyed my experience. The IPL is clearly the best organised foreign league and it was a totally different experience playing in it.' Afridi said. The next on the anvil is the Sri Lankan League, similar to IPL format coming up shortly in the island country and Pakistan is keen to participate.
