A Micromax’s subsidiary brand Yu has launched the all new Yuphoria, the latest after Yureka in India and is priced at Rs 6,999. It is the company’s second Cyanogen-based smartphone at an affordable price. The smartphone provides almost all the features available in a high-end phone. With the vast requirement of smartphone, Yu Yuphoria can be a success.
The smartphone sports a 5-inch IPS display with 720 x 1080 pixels resolution with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The Yu Yuphoria smartphone has a metal body. Yu’s Co-founder and CEO Rahul Sharma stated that the metal stamping process for the phone and physical vapour deposition is used for the multi-colour, along with polishing and anti-fingerprint coating. The device gives a better grip and flagship feeling. It runs on Android Lollipop-based Cyanogen OS 12. It also has an app themer that allows users to customise the look and feel of the device. Users can expect a Truecaller integrated dialler.
The device is 8.25mm in thickness and weighs 143 grams. It gets a true 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 clocked at 1.2GHz coupled with 2GB RAM. It has 16GB of on-board storage. The dual SIM smartphone supports most of the sensors found in flagship devices. It supports Bluetooth and 4G LTE. The device is designed by Yu and is assembled in India. It will be available in steel with Buffed black and Champagne gold with white.
It has a camera of 8MP as a rear snapper and a 5MP for selfies with an f/2.0 aperture. The audio is of Cirrus Logic Wolfson Stereo chip. It is equipped with a 2230 mAh battery. It also features the Quick charge ability which is seen mostly in high-end phones.
