A powerful explosion rocked a chemical factory cum go-down located in a residential locality at Amberpet in Hyderabad today killing two workers.

The two killed were women workers involved in the preparation of spirits, acids and other chemicals. While one Naga Lakshmi was killed on the spot due to the impact of the explosion, another woman Kalpana died on her way to hospital.

Senior police officials have rushed to the spot and started investigation to find out the reasons for the blast. Meanwhile, local residents demanded the officials to shift the factory to some other place in the city.
