ASP of East Godavari district, Naveen Kumar went missing since morning. The sources said that he ran out of his house from the back door. This sudden disappearance of ASP has trigerred debates among the political circles since Naveen Kumar has been in the news for the past sometime for allegedly complaining against the SP Trivikram Varma stating that he had even life threat from the latter only because he went against the ganja business, which according to him, was supported by the SP.
The police officials and also the home minister, who was irked by the approached of the ASP suspended him from the duties with immediate effect. When the officials approached the ASP to handover the suspension orders, the family members said that he was being kidnapped by the SP and they would lodge a police complaint.
Meanwhile, a person named Arun Kumar earlier approached Andhra Pradesh Human Rights Commission and filed a petition seeking the commission for directing the police for providing security to Naveen Kumar, who was suspended from the duty. The commission accepted the petition and ordered DGP to provide security to the suspended ASP. However, now the ASP went missing. Therefore, the observers said human rights commission might ask DGP an explanation over the same.
