A Special Defence Corridor For Telangana?:- The Government of Telangana has been working hard to attract the investors and the TRS Government has been seeking the help of Centre to get the funds sanctioned. The Government of Telangana now urged the Centre to sanction a defence corridor for the state. It revealed that they have all the required eco-system for the development of defence corridor in the state. IT Minister KTR penned a letter to Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman about the advantages of Telangana having a defence corridor and how it turns an advantage for the country.

KTR even revealed that the state needs firm support from the Centre currently and he reminded that Telangana already has skilled manpower and a defence corridor would provide vast employment opportunities for the state. Union Budget 2018-19 proposed two defence industrial production corridors: one between Chennai - Bengaluru and the other one in Bundelkhand. KTR also said that Telangana is located across the centre of the country and he reminded about the plans to set up larger aerospace and defence park in Eliminedu.
