Kerala CM Relief Fund Receives Rs 1028 Crores:- Kerala state received huge rainfall which made the state suffer with floods and landslides. The state's Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan requested everyone to donate for the re-construction of the state. The Kerala Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) received an amount of Rs 1027.78 crores as of August 31st. The amount is being updated on real time basis. Rs 145.88 crores have been donated through electronic payments and Rs 46.04 crores through UPI / QR / VPA.

Rs 835.86 crores have been received through cash / cheque / RTGS. To spend the funds on transparency, the government has a page on the CMDRF portal. Manoj Joshi IAS, the Government Principal Secretary (Finance) will be operating and spending the funds and they are released only through bank transfer. Kerala faced one of the worst disasters this century after rains lashed out the state. The rescue operations are currently on and 483 people lost their lives in this tragedy.
