BRS leader is back to his MLA Post

BRS leader is back to his MLA Post:- BRS leader Vanama Venkateswara Rao has approached the Supreme Court over the High Court’s disqualification order. In detail, Vanama Venkateswara Rao was disqualified as MLA by High Court stating that the elections conducted in 2018 as null and void because he didn't declare his properties clearly. The contestant with the second highest votes, Jalagam Venkata Rao was declared as the legislator of Kothegudem.

Vanama Venkateswara Rao has approached the apex court challenging the decision of the High Court. After hearing the arguments on Monday, Supreme Court has issued a stay on high court-passed orders. Court also issued notices to the Election Commission of India, Venkat Rao and orders directing them to file the counters in the coming four weeks. Now, Vanama Venkateswara Rao will continue as the MLA of Kothagudem.

In the 2018 election, Vanama Venkateswara Rao won a seat on a Congress ticket and won against BRS candidate Balagam Venkat Rao. After winning the election, Vanama Venkateswara Rao joined BRS and continued as BRS MLA.
