Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav underwent two major surgeries in Mumbai this morning. A spokesperson for the Asian Heart Institute, located in suburban Bandra Kurla complex where Lalu was admitted, said the 66 year old politician went for a replace of an aortic valve and the other to repair the aorta.

The former Bihar Chief Minister has been diagnosed with 'aortic stenosis' and was brought to Mumbai on Monday. After medical tests and family consent was taken, the doctors proceeded with the heart surgery.
