Journalists of TV9 and ABN Andhra Jyothy news channels sat down on hunger strike at Indira park in protest over the ban of channels in Telangana state. Few days back, the same media houses journalists protested at Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao's camp office in Begumpet and even complained to Union minister Prakash Javadekar.

However, there has been no reply from the union minister and the issue is still in pending. TV9 and ABN Andhra Jyothy channels were banned in Telangana over their derogatory statements on Telangana legislators. Its been almost four months the channels streaming was banned.
