The Delhi High Court on Tuesday has lifted partial ban on Chinese phonemaker, Xiaomi. The apex court has allowed Xiaomi to sell and import Qualcomm chipset based handsets until January 8 as a temporary measure. Xiaomi challenged the Delhi High court's decision of banning the phones sales in India and said in its petition that it did not infringe Ericsson's patents.
An interim order on December 8 was issued by Delhi high court banning the Xiaomi phones sales and imports in the country. Xiaomi sells its phones exclusively through e-commerce platform Flipkart on every Tuesday. The smartphones got good response in the Indian market.
