India defeated arch-rivals Pakistan in their sixth straight encounter at the ICC World Cup 2015. India's star batsman Virat Kohli scored ton and also thanks to Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina for their valuable contribution to guide the team to a huge total of 300 runs. Pakistan's Sohial Khan took five wickets but that could not stop India from ticking the score board.
In reply, Pakistan made a poor start with the experienced Younis Khan getting out cheaply for a short ball by Mohammed Shami. The wickets for Pakistan were falling at regular intervals and they never looked in the game. Captain Misbah was the only batsmen who counter attacked the Indian bowlers and scored a half century. After his dismissal, bowlers wrapped it for India and posted a biggest win against their favourite opponent.
First Batsman - Virat Kohli is the first batsman to score a century against Pakistan in World Cup encounters.
Controversy - Pakistan's Umar Akmal's dismissal in the 25th over became controversial. India appealed for a caught behind but the on-field umpire denied it. Captain Dhoni asked for a TV umpire review. The reply shows the ball touched the bat but the snickometre doesn't suggest any contact of ball and bat. However, the decision went in favour of India and Akmal was given out.
