iPhone 5 to launch in August

The next generation Apple phone which has already made its rounds on the internet with the leaked images has been reported to launch on the 7th of August this year, much earlier than the announced launch of the next version of iOS, iOS 6, in September. A blog run by the Know Your Mobile website has stated that the iPhone is officiall launching on August 7. They claim that a "reliable industry source" has let them know about the launch of the much awaited iphone.

They also said that the lauch had been advanced to make it a stronger competitor against Samsung Galaxy S III. There have been numerous fake images and concepts that have been popularised all over the internet since the launch of the last model, iPhone 4s.

The latest iPhone would come with iOS 6, it has been speculated, much before the official launch of the iOS in other older versions in September.

Though there is no informtion on the hardware specs, the confirmed leaks on the internet suggest that there have been a few changes made. A few of them would be a slightly larger screen, quad core processor, NFC capability, liquid metal design and a change in the position of the headphone -in.
