Apple has announced that it will soon update CarPlay, a feature that allows users to plug their iPhones into four wheelers in order to control entertainment, navigation, and call handling features via voice commands. By the end of this year CarPlay may come into usage and automakers Ferrari, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo are expected to ship models with CarPlay.

CarPlay lets drivers use their iPhone in the car with minimum distraction and will come up with iOS 7. CarPlay requires an iPhone with Lightning dock connector and iPhone 5, 5S & 5C phones can avail this technology.

CarPlay was renamed by iOS in Car which was first revealed in the year 2013 at the Worldwide Developers Conference.
