A man from America had claimed to have jailbreak-ed the iPhone 5 within just eight hours after the much hyped Apple iPhone 5 was launched.
Grant Paul, a software developer for Apple iOS, has made the claim and proved them to be genuine with the pictures of the screen posted on Twitter.
The remarkably fast jailbreak has been posted online with step by step instructions on how to jailbreak iPhone 5. Paul's screenshot of the taller and lighter iPhone showed the installed application of Cydia, which indicated that the hack was successful.
The celebratory tweet of Paul said, "taller screens like Cydia too. :)".
Jailbreaking iPhone allows users to take control of the phone completely by overriding the restrictions placed by Apple to users. In easier terms, you can hack into the software of the phone with a jailbreak. For Android users, the benefits are better and the process is called “Rooting”.
