Videocon's Vishwaroopam

Videocon is all set to launch its fourth generation (4G) services this year. Videocon will use 1800 meghertz spectrum, which it won lat year. Sometime in August these services are likely to be launched, said sources. While 3G itself is something a distant dream to many average users, how many of them would go for 4G is certainly a million dollar question. Nonetheless, to those with deep pockets who don't mind forking out some extra cash for getting real time speech for watching high definition streaming videos, 4G certainly has so much to offer.

Although this news sound something exciting to many people, let us tell that 4G launch is nothing new to India. In fact, Bharti Airtel launched 4G services in India last April itself and received moderate response. There are many other companies such as Aircel, Infotel and Tikona Digital, which are already in queue to start 4G services. Anyway, its a good that the country is fast catching up with the speed in terms of internet services.
