Samsung Galaxy S II Plus out now

Samsung India's site has not been showing up any new phones but online retailer Infibeam is showing off a new device from the Korean manufacturer, Samsung Galaxy SII Plus. If you want a phone that is in the mid-budget section, around Rs. 23K this is one phone to look out for. It is available on the site for Rs 22,990 while the MRP is being shown as Rs 23,999.

However, let us be clear telling you that the phone is not much better in terms of hardware than the predecessor and super-smartphone of the past, Samsung Galaxy S II. The screen size, processor, camera and battery are the same. NFC is also a feature in both the phones.

What makes this a better choice? Pricing is cheaper than the original model. Android JellyBean 4.1 out of the box, and several software updates that are essential to make the communication faster like Smart Stay, Direct Call, Smart Alert, Popup Video, S Voice, Voice Unlock, Buddy Photo Share, AllShare Play and Samsung Hubs.

On board memory of 8GB, as listed, along with a 64GB compatibility in the external microSD card slot allows more memory than Galaxy S 2.
