Dhoni misses Praveen a lot

Indian captain MS Dhoni said today he was feeling sorry that pacer Praveen Kumar would miss the forthcoming world cup due to an elbow injury he sustained in the recently concluded Praveen Kumar, Dhoni, elbow injuryODI series in South Africa.

It may be mentioned that Praveen Kumar was ruled out for the world cup as he had not recovered fully from the elbow injury. Praveen Kumar was consistently playing for India in ODIs and Dhoni as captain seems to be really feeling bad about his absence from the team. “We miss him a lot,” Dhoni said in his first pre-tournament media conference in Bangalore on Thursday.

Referring to the injuries sustained by Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and Sachin Tendulkar in South Africa tour, Dhoni said they have recovered from their injuries and would be totally fit by February 19 when India play their tournament opener against Bangladesh in Dhaka.
Meanwhile, mercurial off-spinner Harbhajan Singh told media persons in Delhi that Indian team is full of match winners and even Ashish Nehra also can turn the tide in favour of India at any point of time in the game.
